LastPass, the world’s most popular password manager, says hackers recently cracked its systems and stole source code and proprietary information — but says ordinary users shouldn’t worry about the breach. The company, which has 33 million users and 100,000 business customers, sent an email to users saying an “unauthorized party” broke into its developer environment, the space where LastPass employees build and manage the product. LastPass says there’s no evidence that the cybercriminals accessed users’ encrypted master passwords or other data.

  • In another hack, delivery company DoorDash said customer data including phone numbers, addresses and emails were compromised by a phishing attack on a vendor’s computer system.
  • Streaming platform Plex advised its 20 million users to change their passwords this week following a security breach.
